Students at Gateway are on the road to college. It takes a lot of work and support to get there. I know that high school would have been easier for me if Gateway had started before 9th grade.

- Jasmine Pierce-Smith, Gateway High School Class of 2010, California Culinary Academy

Now it is widely recognized that during the middle grades we have the best chance to keep students on the path to graduation and prepared for success in college and career. These students deserve the best we have to offer.

- Betty Edwards, Executive Director, National Middle School Association

My big dream is to go to college and become an environmental engineer. Gateway is helping me to learn good study habits and become a better student.

- Danielle, Gateway High School Class of 2014

Though my growth at Gateway has been immense, I can’t help but wonder what I’d be like if I would have started on this path in middle school. I am certain that if others are given the chance to grow at Gateway earlier on that they can come even further than me.

Justine McCullum, Gateway High School Class of 2010, Wesleyan College Class of 2014
